In this work, we have studied how the sequentially improved monotonicities of nonoscillation solutions can be applied to a class of second-order difference equations with several variable advanced arguments, which has not been tried for difference equations before. A new oscillation criteria for second-order half-linear difference equations with several variable advanced arguments are obtained, which improve the existing results. This approach is better than the ones in the literature, only based on sequentially improved monotonicity of the nonoscillatory solutions. Some relevant examples are indicated to illustrate our results.

韩振来，教授，现任济南大学数学科学学院院党委书记、博士生导师，济南市数学会副理事长，美国《数学评论》评论员，德国《数学文摘》评论员，国际差分方程学会会员。主要研究方向为微分与差分方程定性理论、分数阶微分方程定性理论、动力系统与谱理论等。曾获山东省优秀青年教师、济南大学优秀教师、济南大学优秀研究生指导教师等称号。曾主持多项国家自然科学基金、山东省自然科学基金项目。曾与他人合作在山东大学出版社出版专著一部。
