三、摘要：

Based on our recent efforts in spatial memory modelling and analysis for cognitive animal movement, I will provide a brief review on this topic and mention challenges in modelling and rigorous analysis. Some showcases will be given as idea illustrations.

四、主讲人简介：

Dr. Hao Wang is Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Mathematical Biosciences, Full Professor at the University of Alberta, and the Director of the Interdisciplinary Lab for Mathematical Ecology & Epidemiology (ILMEE). He is currently leading a research group of about 30 postdocs and graduate students, mainly funded by several NSERC grants. Successful examples of his past PhD students and postdocs include several professors in Canada, United States, China, and Korea, as well as a few postdocs in top universities such as Princeton University and The University of Oxford. Because of his exceptional mentoring record, he has received FGSR Great Supervisor Award and Josephine Mitchell Mentoring Award. He is now a Chief/Associate Editor for many mathematical biology journals and dynamical system journals.
