　　The presentation will look at the key points in the recent Russain economic history and discuss the current macroeconomic policy-making dillemas in Russia. Points will range from the dollarization of the Russian economy in eary 90s, causes and responces to the financial and banking crisis of 1998, specifics of the reform package implemented in 2001 to the global crisis of 2008-2009 and the current (2016) macroeconomic situation. In addition, the presentation will highlight some of the key economic policy questions: What happened to the Dutch decease which was the major problem discussed by the Russian policy-makers during the past decade? What are the stongest and weakest features of the overall competitiveness profile of the Russian economy? Should the Russian government use the money from Stabilization Fund to invest in long-term infrastructural projects?
